to exert control over people, you don't have to be the big brother from 1984 or anything like that. i've read a tweet from mossad commentary just now:

Facial recognition can determine whether you participated in the pro Hamas protests at the universities. Your jobs and your degrees will be worthless. Your hiring opportunities will be limited.

don't you find it kind of creepy? the fact that the intelligence of a foreign country openly boasts and makes threats to people? and i don't care much about the israel-palestine conflict, but here's the catch - if i lived in western europe or the us (which i don't, thank God), i'd have to have an opinion. the "right" opinion. or else i'm a bigot, an antisemite or whatever.

and people don't seem to mind it all that much. like "yeah, i shouldn't say anything mean about that one country from across the globe, or else my own govt and some weird organizations will make sure to turn my life in hell. oh well, shit happens."
